It's amazing how different your life can be from where it was... how beautiful and amazing and fulfilling it is now...
And yet just a slight trip down memory lane has the power to sock you right back in the gut and make your tummy feel old-school sick over something that doesn't even matter anymore.
I hope I don't stay even this miniscule amount of angry and hurt for the rest of my life.
Because that bullshit has nothing to do with my brilliant present and dazzling future.
That bullshit doesn't matter
- and only now do I realize that it never did.

Congratulations! You are not susceptible to brainwashing, your values and cares extend beyond the borders of your own country, and your Blind Patriotism does not reach unhealthy levels. If you had been German in the 30s, you would've left the country.
One bad scenario -- as I hypothetically project you back in time -- is that you just wouldn't have cared one way or the other about Nazism. Maybe politics don't interest you enough. But the fact that you took this test means they probably do. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt.
Did you know that many of the smartest Germans departed prior to the beginning of World War II, because they knew some evil shit was brewing? Brain Drain. Many of them were scientists. It is very possible you could have been one of them.

a priceless article about a recent community bike event held in houston...

in the interest of time, let me highlight my favorite two parts of the article:
Herb Lipsman, chairman of the mayor's wellness council, said the event should help the city shake the dubious label of "America's Fattest City" bestowed by Men's Fitness Magazine.
"While our friends in the north and midwest are hibernating," Lipsman said, "we're holding the Tour de Houston, a marathon, and 5K and 10K runs."

The pleasant weather likely contributed to the higher-than-expected turnout, organizers said. Registered participants were treated afterward to free beer, tacos and music at Hermann Square in front of city hall.

do you guys ever wonder just who are these people that work at the dildo factory?
you know how communities frequently develop around a manufacturing plant and that plant usually becomes the lifeblood of the town? and when you're little, everyone's dad works at the oil plant, or their mom mans one part the assembly line at the stapler factory?
do kids ever sit around going, "my mom works at the dildo factory."
"really? so does my dad! maybe they know each other..."
"yeah! i'll ask her!"
also, let me interject with observations of melatonin:
pros - makes you very drowsy.
